1. Register

Before you can order product from our website, you need to register. This lets us know where you live and how to contact you. It also makes it easier for you to order next time, as all you have to do is enter your username and password. We have your delivery information stored on our system. The registration/loggin link is on the home page on the left-hand column below the shop categories. PLEASE NOTE: We do not store any credit card details and your transaction is handled securly through the Banks payment gateway.

2. Fill your basket!

Have fun exploring our site and add products to your basket as you go. When you add a product to your shopping basket you can either continue shopping or move onto the checkout.
PLEASE NOTE: Most products on the site are delivered within Christchurch only, however there are some products that are available for Nationwide delivery. If you live outside Christchurch and have products in your basket that we can't deliver, you will get a message asking you to remove them before proceeding. The products available for Nationwide delivery are clearly marked.

3. Check-out

Once you have filled your basket you can proceed to the check-out. If you are logged (see no. 1 above) you will get a window that shows your billing information and then your delivery information. In most cases you will select your delivery as the same as your Billing address. If you do want the products delivered to a different address you can click on the link 'Add a new Delivery Address'. If you proceed to the checkout before logging in, you will be asked to enter your user name and password or if you don't yet have an account you will have the option to register

4. Select Payment method

Check that your order is correct and select the payment method. If you select credit card, you will be directed to our banks secure payment gateway where you will enter you credit card details. At this point you will see a padlock on your browser and the web address will start with https:// (rather than http://) which shows you it is safe and secure. When you have sent your details and your payment is accepted you will be directed back to our web site. You will also receive an email with your order details.

Yes you can - when you go through the check-out process, under the heading 'Delivery Information' there is a link to 'Add a new Delivery Address'.

This makes it perfect to send our goods as gifts.

The Original Bread Company can accept payment by Visa or Mastercard.

We also accept payment by Internet Banking.

Please allow an extra day for delivery if paying by online banking as we will not dispatch goods until your payment has been confirmed.

We now have nationwide delivery for our Gluten Free Bread (Box of 6).

All other products are delivered within Christchurch only.

If your delivery address is in the Christchurch delivery area and you place your order before 2pm, your order will be delivered by 4.00pm following the day you placed the order unless you have specified otherwise and had confirmation from our staff confirming your time deadlines.

If your delivery address is outside the Christchurch delivery area your order will be dispatched on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - which ever is closest to the date you placed your order. We will try and deliver your order within 2 days of it being dispatched.

Examples:

If you place your order on Monday, it will be dispatched on Tuesday and should reach you by Thursday

If you place your order on Friday, it will be dispatched on Monday and should reach you by Wednesday

Our office is open from 7.00am-2.00pm Monday - Friday should you wish to discuss any products or forthcoming event you may need some advice with.

Yes there is - this has been set at $15.

Remember that orders over $25 are delivered FREE of charge

All orders amounting to $25 or more do not incur any delivery fee in the Christchurch region. Orders within Christchurch of under $25 incur a delivery fee of $6.50

Nationwide deliveries of our Gluten Free Bread have a delivery fee of $10 for up to 2 boxes (6 - 12 loaves) or $20 for up to 4 Boxes (18 - 24 loaves).

We deliver our products to you seven days a week. Check the delivery zones on the delvery page.

Our cut off for all deliveries is 2.00pm for the following days deliveries.

Place in a preheated oven approx 180 degrees celcius for only 3-5 mins.

Our breads are all freshly baked tonight for delivery to your door tomorrow.

Cakes and Gateaux-serve 12-18 persons.

Yes - our gluten free bread does contain fresh eggs and yeast in its makeup.

Breads will comfortably keep for a couple of days and we suggest keeping in paper bag to help with longevity if required.
